Incubators

Footscray Community Arts Centre’s Incubators program is a unique program offering support to groups associated with the Centre. Footscray Arts assists these groups to enable them to achieve greater levels of independence and self-determination. This is done in a number of ways including: assistance with formal incorporation, support to undertake a new artistic direction, assistance with applying for grants and sourcing sustainable artistic spaces.

Past Footscray Arts Incubators have included the circus group POW (Performing Older Women), youth theatre groups Y3P (Young Peoples’ Performance Projects) and SCRAYP - Youth Arts with an Edge, the Multicultural Choir, and hip hop event performers and producers Jungle City and Grrilla Step.

Unfortunately due to the building project being undertaken throughout 2009, Footscray Arts will not be able to offer Incubators support. The program is currently under review and more details will be revealed in the future, so stay tuned.
