Access

Footscray Community Arts Centre believes that the arts are to be enjoyed by everyone. Footscray Arts makes every effort to create programs and events that can be accessed by a broad range of people.

Engagement in the arts is of particular benefit to those perceived to have a disability and Footscray Arts offers two programs to this end – ArtLife and Art Day West.

ArtLife

ArtLife is a curated art day program for people with disabilities who are passionate about the arts. The program provides opportunities for participation in a range of artistic experiences in areas including theatre, ceramics, music and writing. These arts activities are combined with the development of life skills in areas such as communication, cooking and general self-development.

Art Day West

Art Day West provides a stimulating community-based arts program for people with a disability, covering activities in music, animation, visual and performing arts. It operates one day a week from Footscray Community Arts Centre.
