Footscray Arts is on the hunt for Artists In Residence for 2008
Artists who have an interest in community-focussed arts practice are invited to apply to join the talented team at Footscray Community Arts Centre in 2008. Whilst exploring their individual practice, Artists In Residence also link into our artistic projects and work in partnership with new and existing organisations and communities associated with the Centre. Artists with a background in multimedia and performance are especially encouraged to apply.

Call for Applications for Incubators program
Footscray Community Arts Centre’s Incubators program supports groups associated with the Centre in achieving greater levels of independence and self-determination. We are currently inviting Expressions of Interest from groups who wish to be supported in 2008 to develop into autonomous arts companies. Successful applicants will be assisted with applying for grants and building sustainable structures.

Use Footscray Community Arts Centre as a Venue for Your Group
Looking for a venue for your project or event in 2008? Well Footscray Community Arts Centre might be just the place. Expressions of Interest are invited for subsidised venue and facilities hire for groups with an artistic focus. A limited level of support is also available for assistance and advice.

DIY– Make Your Own Event at Footscray Community Arts Centre
In 2007 Footscray Community Arts Centre instigated a new project to assist community groups in making their own artistic event happen. Now we are seeking Expressions of Interest from groups wanting to take part in DIY in 2008.
Your group will be linked with a high-calibre artist who will assist in the creation, development and staging of your DIY event and everyone will be invited to enjoy the results.

Exhibitions
Footscray Community Arts Centre invites Expressions of Interest from artists who would like to present a temporary exhibition in one of our three exhibition spaces. There are two time-slots available in 2008: 9 June – 7 July and 29 September – 31 October. For more information call reception on 03 9362 8888 or visit our website. Fees apply.

Wee – Call for Theatre-Makers
Theatre-makers are invited to create a wee season of wee work (5 minutes maximum duration) to be presented in The Art Unit.
