With the year drawing to a close it’s time to shine the spotlight on our 2007 workshops participants. Our Workshops on Show events and exhibitions offer everyone the chance to experience the talent and creativity of the many people who take part in our workshops throughout the year.

Victoria University’s Liberal Arts students who have been studying their Text and Culture 1 unit at Footscray Community Arts Centre present an exhibition of their personal creative responses to social ideas including cultural influences, belief systems, gender, relationships between the individual and society, western and non-western cultures and urbanisation.

Spacement Tour
Take a tour of Footscray Community Arts Centre and explore spaces filled with sound, movement and visuals developed by students from Voice, our community singing program, Integrate Stretch, our unique course in theatre and movement for people with disabilities, and the Media Technology course.

ArtLife and Art Day West Exhibition Celebrating International Day of People with a Disability
Participants in ArtLife and Art Day West Visual Arts Workshops present an exciting exhibition of contemporary artwork exploring the concept of space inside and out. The exhibition includes short personal works of animation using traditional and digital drawing techniques and live video created in collaboration with Artist In Residence Lindsay Cox.

Shaping – Children’s Festival Exhibitions and Performances
Bring a picnic and check out what our kids have been learning in Children’s Art and Animate, our comic and animation workshops. Be dazzled by the young Flyers circus stars and our Hip-Hop Move and Beats groovers, then stick around for a free concert by Rebecca Barnard.
