The Mighty buZZniks
The sounds of summer are set to hit Footscray Community Arts Centre as we present our FREE Summer Music Series over five consecutive weeks. Enjoy the sound of music from around the world and around the corner.
If Dr Seuss started a rock band this would be it! The Mighty buZZniks play a highly energised mélange of rock, folk, hip-hop and pop that exposes kids to live music and uses quirky humour to entertain and even educate. On Sunday 27 January as part of Footscray Community Arts Centre’s Summer Music Series, The Mighty buZZniks perform a free concert for the whole family.
The Mighty buZZniks are for funky kids with big vocabularies and creative minds who know how to party. The group sees no reason to dumb down music for the small people. Children have sophisticated ears and they relate to ‘real’ contemporary music. Instead music lovers of all ages (including parents!) will enjoy quirky musical stories about caring for the environment, celebrating differences, learning empathy and dealing with difficult emotional situations.
The five band members are all professional musicians who play in bands such as The Blue Grassy Knoll and Totally Gourdgeous, and have come together to celebrate their love of music with children. This concert will include a performance created by participants during the January School Holiday ARTS Program.
Join The Mighty buZZniks on Sunday 27 January for a musical carnivale that will have the whole family on their feet.
