Natty Wailer and the Reggae Vibe
Get into some reggae maan at this FREE concert by former Bob Marley and the Wailers member, Natty Wailer and his seven-piece band the Reggae Vibes.
Songwriter, philosopher, instrumentalist and singer Natty Wailer met Bob Marley and the Wailers in 1972, a couple of months after he graduated from high school. That same year he began to rehearse with the legendary group as a studio session musician and eventually became a regular member, recording albums and touring. He remains driven by a passion for reggae music and culture and continues to keep the Bob Marley dream alive performing around the world.
After his hugely successful workshop at Footscray Community Arts Centre last year, Natty Wailer returns with what promises to be a musical highlight for 2007. Expect an afternoon of uplifting Caribbean beats and African rhythms as Natty Wailer and the Reggae Vibes entertain audiences with a combination of original reggae tracks (including a full performance of the recent recording Destine) and a tribute to the Rasta King himself – the great Bob Marley.
