The sounds of summer are set to hit Footscray Community Arts Centre as we present our FREE Summer Music Series over five consecutive weeks. Enjoy the sound of music from around the world and around the corner.
My Friend the Chocolate Cake delivers incredible contrasts, from sumptuous orchestral pop songs to fragile ambience; from wild, exotic instrumentals to poignant and potent Australian stories from the 'burbs and the outback. The group's trademark organic sounds and lush orchestrations feature rich strings, mesmerising piano melodies and the occasional flourish of mandolin, tin whistle or something stranger. Now they are set to hit Footscray Community Arts Centre in this last concert in our Summer Music Series.
Join David Bridie, Helen Mountfort and the rest of the band on Sunday 24 February for an afternoon of musical temptations as part of FEED at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
