As a part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Footscray Community Arts Centre presents FEED, a smorgasbord of food-related arts activities including an exhibition, workshop, cooking class and concert. Join us in February, March and April for a feast of mouth-watering art and food.

First up on the menu as part of FEED is the exhibition I Love Phở.

Book in and spend 30 minutes of your own in our portable art and performance space, The Art Unit, and you’ll be treated to a special food-related snack.

Six western suburbs personalities have created a menu especially for FEED. Come Munching With The Stars at the Happy River Café between 8am and 3pm to sample their wares.

All the fun of FEED on Sunday 24 February finishes up with a concert from My Friend the Chocolate Cake.

Cucina Italiana with Mario De Pasquale
On Monday 25 February join restaurateur extraordinaire Mario De Pasquale of the iconic Marios Café (and Chair of the Footscray Community Arts Centre Board) for a special treat - Cucina Italiana. Together with members of the Italian community, Mario leads a long Italian dinner with passion! For just $65 you will be wined and dined at a special three-course meal celebrating food and art.

Phở Tasting and Demonstration with Tina Le
On Sunday 2 March come along and enjoy a bowl of phở, a cup of tea and a chat with ex-restaurateur, self-confessed cookbook junkie and chef-by-passion Tina Le.

Due to the huge success of Tina Le’s phở cooking and tasting demonstration in March as part of Feed, we are pleased to announce an additional workshop.

Come along and enjoy a bowl of phở, a cup of tea and a chat with ex-restaurateur, self-professed cookbook junkie and chef by passion Tina Le as she takes you on an oral history tour of this popular Vietnamese rice noodle dish, as well as sharing her secret phở recipe.

Phở Dog Workshop with Mai Long
On Sunday 2 March artist Mai Long will conduct a special workshop on how to create one of her famous Phở Dog characters using traditional phở ingredients such as star anise, bean sprouts and dried noodles.
