Art Lending Library Exhibition
Footscray Arts and Marios Café are launching a new concept in Australian art – the art lending library. In 2008, you will be able to borrow pieces from our growing collection of artwork and exhibit them in your home or organisation.
In the interim, we are currently exhibiting a selection of artworks from the collection at both Footscray Community Arts Centre and Marios Café, Melbourne’s iconic café on Brunswick Street. So why not visit one or both exhibitions and register your interest in borrowing works from the library?
Inspired by a model used by the Dutch government, we conceived this project because we believe that art belongs everywhere – not just at our home, but yours too.
