About Kultour
Kultour is a national network of arts organisations established in 2001 by the Australia Council as an initiative of the Arts in a Multicultural Australia policy, to increasing awareness of Australian multicultural arts through an annual touring program.
Kultour provides opportunities for Australian artists to tour their work to new audiences and inspires a stimulating culturally diverse arts industry - locally, nationally and internationally.
Kultour is made up of 10 member organisations across each state and territory. Between them they represent vast expertise in presenting and producing innovative and high quality art works that reflect the cultural diversity of contemporary Australia. Representatives from each Kultour member organisation form Kultour’s Board of Directors.
Footscray Community Arts Centre is proud to be a founding Company Member of Kultour. Jeremy Gaden, our Programming Manager, currently sits as a Director on the Board of Kultour and is a member of the Kultour Programming Committee.
How to Apply
Applications for Kultour’s 2011 Touring Program are now open, and will close at 5pm Thursday 24 September 2009.
Once a year Kultour invites applications from artists for tour ready work which reflects Australia’s cultural diversity.
Applicants are asked to complete an application form and submit support material which strongly documents the quality and nature of their work. All applicants must discuss their application with their local Kultour Company Member prior to submission, and have their local member sign off on their application. Failure to do so will make the application inelligible.
