Mother India 21st Century Remix, aka MI 21, is a live film soundtrack performance that re-imagines the iconic early Bollywood film Mother India. Lead artist and principal composer is awardwinning British DJ and electronic artist DJ Tigerstyle.
Appearing for the first time in Australia at the Arts Centre, MI 21 essentially re-mixes, re-edits and re-scores the original film as a silent film, over which DJ Tigerstyle has created a contemporary electronic and strings-based score. Footscray Community Arts Centre is proud to partner with the Arts Centre in bringing key artists from this production, including DJ Tigerstyle, to Footscray to work with emerging artists in a very special community-based workshop.
