Join dancers and choreographers from one of Australia’s leading contemporary dance companies, Chunky Move, for a fun and funky dance class designed for beginners who want to think they can dance.
Dancers and choreographers from Australia’s leading contemporary dance company, Chunky Move, are the special guest tutors for this dance workshop. Designed especially for beginners, Chunky Dance introduces participants with little or no dance experience to contemporary and funk style dance moves. These classes are great for improving fitness and co-ordination and are guaranteed to be a whole lot of fun.
Founded by Artistic Director Gideon Obarzanek in 1995, Chunky Move has earned an enviable reputation for producing a distinct yet unpredictable brand of genre-defying dance performance. The company’s work is both diverse in form and content and constantly seeks to redefine what is or what can be contemporary dance within an ever-evolving Australian culture.
Chunky Dance is one fun and funky dance class that offers participants a great opportunity to work with some of Australia’s finest dance professionals.

*This is a low-cost workshop subsidised by Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE). Charges include all services and amenities. Attendees should follow enrolment conditions as outlined in the Adult Community and Further Education Act 1991 – Ministerial Directions to Adult Community and Further Education (Amendment) 2004.
