If Footscray were a person, who would they be? What would they look like and what would they believe in?

Join us THIS THURSDAY, August 13 to help us find out.

As a part of the public consultation phase for a major new public art work to be installed at Footscray Train Station, Footscray Community Arts Centre invites you to join us in imagining the ultimate Footscray Identity.

PLACE ART HERE is a project of Footscray Community Arts Centre which will see the commission of a major new public artwork installed at Footscray Train Station in 2010. In late August 2009, Australian artists will be invited to submit their ideas for this new work of public art. But, before they do, we want to build an imaginative profile of Footscray to inspire them. This is where you come in! Join us for a drink and share your portrait of Footscray with us as this exciting project develops.
